First Solicitation Funded Projects

The first CSI RD&D grant solicitation sought to fund projects that advanced integration of photovoltaics (PV) into the utility grid and focused on the following target areas:

  1. Planning and modeling for high-penetration PV
  2. Testing and development of hardware and software for high-penetration PV
  3. Addressing the near-term integration of energy efficiency, demand response, energy storage, and PV.

On March 11, 2010, the CPUC announced that eight projects had been approved to receive funding through the first solicitation.  (Read the CPUC press release.)  A list of those projects is shown below; click on a project title to see an overview and contact information.
